Canjingjing Cui, Soprano, D.M.A.

Dr. Canjingjing Cui received her Doctoral of Musical Arts degree in Voice from the University of Georgia in 2021. She also holds Graduate Performance Diploma in Vocal Performance from the Peabody Conservatory, Master of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance and Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Minzu University of China. 


Mentored and inspired by the extraordinary American singers, MS Elizabeth Futral, MS Phyllis Bryn-Julson, Dr. Stephanie Tingler, Dr. Nell Adams, and Professor Wuyuntaoli, she has completed ten solo recitals with high artistic sense and quality. Dr. Cui has won National Scholarship and multiple times of Professional Scholarships for her excellence academic performance. 


Cui played opera roles such as Queen of The Night, The First Lady in Papageno! (An English Edition of The Magic Flute by Mozart) during her study at Peabody Conservatory. She was also the Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos by Strauss), Konstanze (Die Entführung aus dem Serail by Mozart) and Violetta (La Traviata by Verdi) in Opera Scenes at the University of Georgia. She also sung Nara, the diva of the Chinese opera The Legend of Wood-sculpture. 


Dr. Cui received Second Prize in the American Virtuoso International Music Competition 2022, Voice, Artist Group. She also won Third Prize in Professional Group of Voice in The 2022 Medici International Music Competition. Cui was a finalist of the Audrey Rooney Vocal Competition 2019, and a Semi-Finalist of the 2019 Orpheus National Music Competition for Vocalists. Canjingjing Cui is also a Guzheng (Traditional Chinese Instrument) player for years.
